As an effective method to improve the viability and shock as well as defense abilities of weapons, absorbing material shows so great advantages that it can not be replaced. Resin-based composite material is one of absorbing materials, and have become the focus of research and development around the world.Absorbing properties of the resin-based composite are effected by resin-based composite resin systems, absorbing filler system, layer thickness, layers and other factors. Preparation and evaluation of multi-absorbing material is a complex process. How to analyse the characteristics of electromagnetic wave reflection and transmission theory on material surface and interface, and to set up the relationships between electromagnetic parameter and the absorbing powder content as well as the thickness of absorbing composite materials, and to set up multi-layer absorption model of electromagnetic wave absorbing materials are the current hot problems of the reseachers.Based on transmission line method and the transfer matrix method, the effect of parameters on the reflective properties of isotropic composite material were analyzed, and then the paper deduced the function relationship between the reflection coefficient and electromagnetic parameters as well as thickness of isotropic composite material. In the present study, using epoxy resin as matrix, glass fiber as reinforcements, ferrite and carbon black as the absorbent, then the isotropic composite absorber system was formed. Based on functional relationship of the reflection coefficient between electromagnetic parameters as well as thickness of isotropic composite material, using MATLAB simulation program editor to simulate of the absorbing properties curves of single, double and multi-layer composites with different isotropic absorber content, and then to set up the relationships between absorbing properties and absorbent content as well as layer. Using genetic algorithm, given the thickness of isotropic composite absorber and absorbing range of conditions, absorbing agent content and overlay mode were optimized. The results show that, using epoxy resin as matrix, glass fiber as reinforcements, ferrite and carbon black as the absorbent, the best condition of single, double and multi-layer composites can be optimized by genetic algorithm (given the thickness of isotropic composite absorber and absorbing range of conditions). For isotropic resin double layer composite, the frequency bandwidth can be expanded effectively by choosing different types of absorbent, and the absorbing effect will be better if choosing consumption-type absorbent as the top surface material. As for the isotropic resin multi-layer composite, the frequency bandwidth also can be expanded effectively by choosing different types of absorbent, and absorbing effect will be improved if introducing buffer layer in the surface to obtain the effect of impedance adaption.
