Six new organic-inorganic hybrid polyoxometalate based on {P6Mo18O73} and one hexaoxoanions{W12O42} have been synthesized in aqueous solution. The chemical formulas of seven compounds have been determined under controlled conditions of pH and different organic ligands and characterized by IR spectroscopy, element analysis, thermal gravimetric analysis and single-crystal X-ray diffraction:[{Cu(2,2'-bpy)(H2O)}4{Ca'P6Mo4VMo14VIO73}]·2H3O (1) [{Cu(2,2'-bpy)(H2O)}4{Sr'P6Mo4VMo14VIO73}]·2H3O (2) [{Cu(2,2'-bpy)(H2O)}4{Ba'P6Mo4VMo14VIO73}]·2H3O·2H2O (3) [Cu(2,2'-bim)2 ][{ Cu(2,2'-bim)2 }2 {Cu(2,2'-bim)(H2 O)2 }{Ca' P6Mo4VMo14VIO73}]·2H3O·7H2O (4) [O{Cu(2,2'-bim)2}2] [{Cu(H2O)2}{Cu(2,2'-bim)2}{Cu(2,2'-bim)(H2O)2}{Sr' P6Mo4VMo14VIO73}]·2H3O·7H2O (5) [im]8[Sr(H2O)4]2[{Sr'P6Mo4VMo14VIO73}]·6H3O·4H2O (6) [Na(H2O)]6[Ag(H2O)]2[H4W12O42] (7)These new compounds are structurally characterized by IR, and single crystal X-ray diffractions. Single-crystal X-ray structural analysis reveals that compound1-3 are isomorphic, all contain only one crystallographically isolated basket-like [P6Mo18O73]12– polyoxoanion,four independent{Cu(2,2'-bpy)(H2O)}fragments and some coordinated watter molecules. Compound 4 also is isolated. Two {Cu(2,2'-bim)2} and one {Cu(2,2'-bim)(H2O)2} fragments are directly to the surface of the polyoxoanion. One {Cu(2,2'-bim)2}fragment is not directly to the surface of the polyoxoanion. There is one isolated Cu anion in the interspace of two basket-like polyoxoanion in compound 5,which has two {Cu(2,2'-bim)2}that are not directly to the surface of the polyoxoanion. Two {Cu(2,2'-bim)2 fragments are joined by one oxygen atom. The Sr atoms join the basket-like polyoxoanions into an infinite 1D chain structure in compound 6, which has some imidazole ligands that are not directly to the surface of the polyoxoanion. The Ag and Na atoms join the W12O42 polyoxoanions into three-dimensional structure in compound 7.By Electrochemical analysis system, electrochemical properties of the compound 1 were studied in detail. Compounds1-3 exhibit fluorescent properties at room temperature.
