Polypropylene (PP) samples are modified by oxygen radio frequency(RF) capacitively coupled plasma(CCP)etching nanowires and research the wettability in ageing process. Surface morphology, composition, and wettability of the plasma modified PP samples are characterized by static contact angle, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), scanning electron microscopy (SEM).The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images of polypropylene samples'by CCP 200W 10min can clear show the nanowires structure. The nanowires structure are more clearer and more intensive by CCP 200W 15min and 20min.CCP 200 W lmin polypropylene samples'surface aging in 20℃and 60℃,90℃, ageing process under all show the hydrophobic reply process,.After aging 24 hr, sample remains in the modification effects of the hydrophilic.CCP 200W 5 min polypropylene samples'surface aging in 20℃, get along with the increase of aging time, sample shows hydrophobic after reply process, aging 24 hr, sample remains in the modification effects of the hydrophilic.In 60℃and 90℃aging temperatures, with the increase of aging time, sample shows hydrophobic 24h reply process, aging have more than the original sample surface after sample of hydrophobic performance.CCP 200W 10min,15min,20min polypropylene samples'surface aging in 20℃, get along with the increase of aging time, sample shows hydrophobic after reply process, aging 24 hr, sample remains in the modification effects of the hydrophilic.In 60℃and 90℃aging temperatures, with the increase of aging time, sample showed sharp hydrophobic reply process, all can have appeared super hydrophobic. And the water meter superhydrophobic the adhesion was tested.Through the X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) get rf capacitive coupling model in oxygen plasma polypropylene surface a elemental atoms percentage.Along with the increase of processing time, sample surface oxygen elementsratio increased. This is because the material surface oxygen plasma bombardment introduced oxygen-containing polarity functional groups.The higher temperature comparison with lower temperature,sample surface oxygen elements and fluorine elements ratio decreased,and the carbon element ratio increased. This is due to the higher temperature is good for oxygen polar functional group Internal transfer to the substrate and the matrix nonpolar functional group to the matrix surface diffusion...
