Catalytic combustion is a kind of effective method to resolve volatile organic compounds, this paper examines the bimetallic catalyst with the cordierite as the carrier, the influence of preparation method and component content on the activity of VOCs, and made the industrial application scheme design.The catalyst prepared here with Pd and Pt as the active components, the total load is 0.1 wt%,mole ratio of Pd and Pt is 3:1, the two active components was separate loaded, palladium first; The activity of the catalyst can raised when adding additives singly or combined, the best choice is CeO2 and ZrO2 with the molar ratio of 3:1, loading content is 1wt%. Alumina coating for the second carrier, cordierite for the first carrier, the carrier was pretreated with nitric acid before using, and finally the composition of catalyst is 0.1%Pd-Pt/1%Ce0.75Zr0.25/Y-Al2O3/COR.The activity of catalytic combustion were studied through benzene series and straight-chain paraffin catalytic combustion, combined the performance evaluation with XRD,SEM and XPS characterization tools, the investigation items including two kinds of preparation methods,calcination temperature,density of VOCs and space velocity. The activity of catalysts between industrial catalyst and homemade catalyst were compared, and did the stability test for 1000h.The project of factory exhaust reverse flow catalytic combustion reactor was designed. The the final process operation condition were designed. Meanwhile, process measurement technology was taken to control the reactor. Based on the above theoretical and technical preparation, the complete pilot program was proposed.
