With the development of science and technology, more and more topics about green initiative attract people's attention in daily life and green coating product has thus cause people's attention. Water-borne coatings, as a new environmental protection coating with environmental protection, with low or no VOC, non-toxic to man etc. But water-borne coatings have some defects in performance, such as poor water resistance,low temperature brittleness and high temperature sticky etc. Therefore, the basic and applied research of water-borne coatings is indispensable.In this paper, the polymer systems of organic silicone/polyacrylate emulsion has been studied. Core-shell Si02/polyacrylate latex particles have been prepared by the emulsion polymerization, while emulsion and coating properties were also researched. The textual research contents have primarily below several parts:(1) Synthesis of silicone (KH-570)/polyacrylate(MMA/BA/ MAA) emulsion by the emulsion polymerization, The emulsion stability and the coating proportion of different emulsifier ratio has be studied; the properties of the emulsion were characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and Thermogravimetric analysis (TG); the proportion of emulsion and coating have be tested;(2) Synthesis of Silicone (KH-570)/polyacrylate (MMA/BA/AN /MAA) emulsion by the emulsion polymerization, the effect of reaction conditions on the performance of the emulsion were studied, such as the ratio of monomers, the ratio and content of emulsifiers, the dosage of initiator and the content of siloxane monomers. The properties of the emulsion were characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and Thermogravimetric analysis (TG); the proportion of emulsion and coating have be tested;(3) Synthesis of Silicone (KH-570)/polyacrylate(MMA/BA/AN /MAA) high solid emulsion by the emulsion polymerization, and its influence factors of reaction temperature and reaction time have been studied, The properties of the emulsion were characterized by Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) and Thermogravimetric analysis (TG); meanwhile, the proportion of emulsion and coating have be tested;(4) Effects of the content of Pigments, fillers (CaCO3, SiO2 and TiO2) and film-time in different temperature on wear resisting property of the coating film have be studied; the experiment results are analysed; (5) Synthesized a core-shell Nano-SiO2/polyacrylate with low content of emulsifier by the emulsion polymerization method; the property of Nano-Si02/polyacrylate were characterized by experimental computation, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR), Thermogravimetric analysis(TG) and the contact angle to water; The influence of silica nanoparticles content on polymerization and latex films have be studied; the proportion of emulsion and coating have be tested.
