We use various sensors to monitor and control the production process, especially in the modern automated production process, it can be said that without good sensors, modern production and living will lost the basement to develop. It is very important to develop sensors with good performance.In this thesis, titania based materials were studied, the main research concerned lower-like lithium titanate-titanium dioxide (L-T)composite materials and layered cesium titanate(LCT). They were used to humidity detection and detect lead ion in water respectively.(1) Flower-like lithium titanate-titanium dioxide composite materials were prepared by hydrothermal method. Lithium titanate titanium dioxide composite materials with different composition and different microstructure were synthesized via changing experiment conditions. We used XRD and SEM to characteristic flower-like lithium titanate-titanium dioxide composite materials. Different materials mentioned were used to construct humidity sensors by dip-coating. The results showed that when the lithium titanate's content was 0.44 and its microstructure was 3D flower-like, it could achieve the best humidity sensitivity and the impendence would change three orders while the RH changes from 11% to 95%. The preparaed sensor had advantage of rapid response and recovery time.(2) Layered cesium titanate was prepared by high temperature solid method. We used XRD, SEM, EDS and laser particle size analysis to characteristic layered cesium titanate. Layered cesium titanate was modified onto a nickel foam electrode to detect lead in water. The performance of the layered cesium titanate modified electrode was investigated and the mechanism of detection of lead ions was supposed. The sensor has advantages of a wide linear range and a high sensitivity.
