Influenced by the factors such as national energy conservation policies and the rocketed costs etc., energy conservation has become a prerequisite to the development of carbon product enterprises. Therefore, it has become an important research topic to maximize the energy recovery and reduce the energy consumption in carbon production.The paper analyzes the present researches on the energy conservation in carbon product enterprises first, and proposes an energy conservation method of regarding a carbon product enterprise as a whole. In accordance with this method, a corresponding research has been done in a carbon product company in HaiCheng. To start with, according to the actual situation of the company, the paper analyzes the energy distribution inside the company and calculates the comprehensive energy consumption per unit product of the main carbon products. Based on the analysis of the energy distribution inside the company and the analysis of the energy consumption, it is obvious that kneading and baking which mainly consume coal are the primary energy-consuming processes. Next, The paper tests and analyzes the thermal equilibrium of the main energy consumption equipment and the energy transformation equipment. The test and analysis results show that the thermal efficiencies of the heat conduction oil boiler and baking furnace are low and the high temperature fume of calcining furnace is worth recovering. The thermal efficiency of the boiler can be enhanced by improving the operation management. The thermal efficiency of the boiler can be enhanced by improving the operation management. Finally, based on the utilization of energy inside the company, the test results of the main equipment, and the development plan of the company, the paper proposes an energy conservation plan which corresponds with the development of the company.(1) The company need install a waste heat conduction oil boiler to recover and make most of the energy of the high temperature fume of the calcining furnace and to replace the coal-consuming heat conduction oil boiler.(2) The company plans to build a continuous graphitization electric Furnace. The fume of this continuous graphitization electric furnace can be used as the fuel of roasting furnace or be used to generate electricity. If the fume is used as the fuel of roasting furnace,the gas producer can be substituted. As the output increases, some of the fume can be used as fuel, and the rest can be used to generate electricity.(3) The energy management of the company has fallen behind, and the company lacks the awareness of energy conservation. Thus, the company should make strict policies and take effective measures to improve its energy management according to its actual energy consumption.
