| With the development of modern science, the new requests of the composite materials have been increased, such as the cost and the recoverability. Thermoplastic matrix has a lot of advantages such as light mass, low cost, simple molding technology and recoverability. And the reinforced fibres can achieve a good performance by the reasonable hybrid. Therefore, study on the thermoplastic fiber hybrid composite is of importance for the low cost and good performance.At first, the wrapped yarns were made by the designed hybrid ratio of PP, GF, and PET. Secondly, 27 pieces of the composite preforms were woven according to the fabric structures. At last, the thermoplastic fiber hybrid composite were made under the certain technological condition. The molding process, the impregnation of the resin and the tensile property of the composites were analyzed and studied. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) The distribution and the impregnation of the resin were studied. The distribution of resin is uniform, and the impregnation of the resin performs good, when the temperature is between 185℃and 190℃. The more time is used, the better the distribution and impregnation become. The distribution and the effect of impregnation are the best when the pressure is at 5MPa.(2) The influence of molding conditions on the tensile property was analyzed by the single factor method. There is a quadratic relationship between tensile strength and temperature . The tensile strength will be improved as time increases in 30 mins. The strength is the best when the pressure is 5MPa.(3) The processing conditions were confirmed by the orthogonal test method using the tensile propertyy as the index. The order of conditions is the holding time, pressure, the packing temperature. The composite holds the best tensile property when the pressure is 5MPa, the packing temperature is 190℃, and the holding time is 30 min.(4) The tensile properties of the composites with different fiber volume fractions were studied. When the volume fraction of PP resin is between 50% and 60%, the tensile property is the best. There is a quadratic relationship between the volume fraction of PET and tensile strength. When the volume fraction of PET is 40% , the tensile property is the worst.(5) Through the assembly of the orthogonal structure, quasi-orthogonal structure, horn-chain structure and open structure, 3 pieces of 3D thermoplastic fiber hybrid composites were manufactured. The tensile property of 2# is the best, and the tensile property of 1# is the worst. |
