In this research, the aim was focused on the enhancement of the utilizing efficiency of manpower, material and funds used for solving the atmospheric pollution by petrochemical enterprises, which will meet the rising needs of the environmental monitoring and management in gas field. Combined with the project "planning of environmental protection during gas field development", the research was completed in optimizing the environmental monitoring sites in the Air in a gas field.This research shall seek to establish the most efficient environmental monitoring network of the Air, which surely provide scientific basis for environmental monitoring of Air, and the precise Report on Environment Monitoring and the right forecast for Air pollution for gas field development.In this paper, the main characteristics of the topography and geomorphology of gas field was explained. They are the terrain is broken, the topography fluctuation is larger, the surface slope and relative difference are bigger, the tops of hills are quite gentle, the ground vegetation is dense, rivers and valleys crisscross, mountainous basin region, platform and shallow hills are less. And also explained are the development plan and the gas-testing process of the gas field. According to the estimate modeL and the ADMS model and on the basis of the atmospheric monitoring data of P302-2 well—he first gas well, the atmospheric monitoring of P302-1 well—the second well of the same platform was completed by the optimal partition method named Fisher.And then the monitoring datum of P302-2 well and P302-1 well were compared. And the results show that it is reasonable and effective for monitoring air pollution to use ADMS model to forecast the diffusion of the atmospheric pollutant. In order to determine the optimized monitoring sites, it is better to classify the monitoring sites by optimal segmentation firstly, and then carry out standardization analysis of the original monitoring data of every monitoring sites by fuzzy clustering algorithm. The data of the optimized monitoring sites can reflect the whole environmental air quality of gas field brilliantly. This research will contribute to a lower cost and a better economic efficiency.
