Abstract/Summary:
In this paper, three new compounds were obtained based on three groups of organic ligands and POMs building blocks. They are 4, 4'-bipyridine and [α-SiW12O40]4-, 1, 2-ethylenediamine and [P4Mo6O31]n-, 1, 1'-(1, (4-)butanediyl)bis(imidazole) ( abbreviated as bbi) and [V4O12]4-. They have been structurally characterized by elemental analyses, IR, TG and single crystal X-ray diffractions.1. One new 1D ladder-like compound has been hydrothermally synthesized based on [α-SiW12O40]4-: [Cu(C10N2H8)]2[α-SiW12O40].2H2O 1In compound 1, an unusual 1D chain was obtained, due to two kinds of crystallographically independent Cu ions connected to [α-SiW12O40]4-, and a distortion in shape of 4, 4'-bipyridine.2. A new 3D complex compound has been synthesized based on [P4Mo6O31]n- building blocks under hydrothermal conditions: [(H2en)4.5][Co3{Mo6O12(OH)3(PO4)4}2].6H2O 2In compound 2, a new 3D pure inorganic framework was obtained based on the fragment of {Co8-[P4Mo6O31]2}, bonded to the types of Co-O-P and Co-O-Mo.3. An unusual 2D-sheet compound has been synthesized under hydrothermal condition which was constructed by [V4O12]4- anions building blocks: [Ag(bbi)][{Ag(bbi)}4{Ag3(V4O12)2}]·2H2O 3In compound 3, an unusual two-dimensional dicyclic rings of [V4O12]4--based coordination polymer with a novel maximum {Ag7}7+ cluster and contained five maximum crystallographically-independent silver ions until now, was obtained and showed good photocatalytic activity for the degradation of methylene blue. And the synergistic effect between {Ag7}7+ cluster and [V4O12]4- building block in compound 3 was also improved in photocatalytic activity.
