Nylon6 (PA6) is one of the earliest engineering plastic products developed and it is also one kind of the largest amount polyamide plastics produced. It has many advantages, such as high strength, high modulus and so on. So it is widely used in many fields. However, it has many shortcomings too, such as instability in acid, low strength as special materials, so it also needs to study.In this paper, the benzene ring embedded in main chain of nylon 6 through the method of copolymerization. The main research contents and conclusions are as follows:(1)The influence of additive concentration, reaction time, polymerization temperature on modified PA6 products was examined.(2)The modified PA6 was characterized by FTIR and NMR. It was got that benzene ring was successfully inserted onto the polymer chain of PA6.(3)Through viscosity analysis and thermal analysis, it was found that the viscosity and thermal properties of modified PA6 obviously were improved.
