The polyacrylate emulsion has good stability and leveling, and it is easy to film and use. The film not only has major extension and strong adhesive force, but the coating is not easy to fall off, fade and deterioration. However, the brightness of polyacrylate film is not ideal and the flexibility temperature is narrow, with a shortcoming of cold crisp hot sticky. In view of this situation, according the introduction of polycarbonate diols in the polyacrylate and controlling the the proportion of comonomer to prepared the bright polyacrylate, which has better brightness and the mechanical properties is improved. In addition, the wax emulsion has a unique performance in improving the brightness of the polyacrylic acid resin . The brightness of the bright polyacrylate can be improved by blending wax emulsion and polyacrylic acid , but the fastness of the coating decreased.(1) A new type of bright polyacrylate was prepared with polycarbonate diols and acrylic as monomers , sodium dodecyl sulfate and span-80 as emulsifier, ammonium sulfate as catalyst.(2) The configuration and properties of bright polyacrylate were characterized by FTIR, TG-DTA, SEM, Particle Size Analysis, Zeta electric potential and X - RD.(3) The best synthesis process of bright polyacrylate was got by optimizing the synthesis process. The synthesis process of intermediate was described as follows: the molar ratio of the polycarbonate diols and allyl glycidyl ether was 1:2, reacted 6 hour in 90℃. The synthesis process of bright polyacrylate was described as follows: the dosage of polycarbonate diols was 18% of the monomer, the mass ratio of the soft monomer(butyl acrylate) and hard monomer(styrene and methyl methacrylate) was 2:1, The dosages of the emulsifier and initiator was 4% and 0.5~0.6% of the monomer, reaction temperature was 85~90℃and reaction time was 4~6 hour, the bright polyacrylate has a good performance.(4) By coating finishment, bright polyacrylate was applied to polyester and cotton fabric. The optimal finishing process for cotton was listed as follows: the content of coating adhesive was about 30g/m~2,the pre-baking temperature was 80℃, baking temperature was 120℃, baking time was 2~3 min.The optimal finishing process for polyester was listed as follows: the content of coating adhesive was about 30g/m~2,the pre-baking temperature was 100℃, baking temperature was 120℃,baking time was 2~3 min. In this case, the coated fabrics had a better performance.(5) Optimize the emulsification process, a better method to emulsify wax can be got. The best emulsification process of wax was :the solid content was 25%,emulsifying temperature was 90~95℃,emulsification time was 30~40min,stirring speed was 600~900r/min. In this case, wax emulsion with a smaller particle size, stability and good dispersion properties can be got.(6) Comparing the performance of the fabrics finished by the bright polyacrylate and bright polyacrylate with wax emulsion, it can be seen that the bright performance of the fabrics finished by bright polyacrylate with wax emulsion was better. But the fastness of the coating was not good.
