Abstract/Summary:
Existence of nitrogen compounds in transportation fuel s can not onlyseriously inhibit deep hydrode sulfurization, but also producedetrimental effect on human living conditions, since release of NOx intoair from combustion can cause acid rain. With increasing aw-earne s s ofNOx Pollution on human health and strengthened concern aboutultra-clean fuel s production, removal of nitrogen compounds is capturinggreat attention.Based on extensive review-of state--of--the--art denitrogenationmethod010gie s such as hydrodenitrogenatio, complexation extraction,acid/base refining, solvent extraction,biodenitrogenation,microw-ave-as sisted denitrogenation, and denitrogenation integration, adsorptive denitrogenation over carbon-based adsorbents was explored, for removing variou s nitrogen-containing compounds from model de seloil s.Modified with different acids and transition metal s,differentadsorbents have been prepared.(1)The re sults showed that sulfuric acid-pretreated carbonadsorbent impregnated with had better selectivity for basic nitrogencompounds.Nitrogen removal reached 90%at calcination temperature of110℃,adsorbent-to-oil ratio of 1:80 and ambient temperature.(2)The carbon-based adsorbent for nonbasic nitrogen compoundshad been prepared with metal components on the activated carbon. There sult show-ed that different metal ion s and different valence state s ofthe same metal on the actived carbon had appreciably different adsorptioncapacity for neutral nitrogen compounds. The adsorbent with trivalentstate iron had a relatively higher adsorption capacity of around34 07mg/g. (3)The acid and metal-Carbon adsorbent showed a high selectivityon the nitrogen-Containing Compounds. It can effectively remove basicand nonbasic nitrogen compOunds at ambient temperature, adsorbent tooil ratio of 1:400 and adsorption time 40 min.Spented adsorbent Can beregenerated through organic SOlvent washing.(4)The mechani sm for adsorptive removal of nitrogen compoundshad been explored via Quantum MechaniC S,M01ecular Mechanic S andMonte Carlo method. The metal adsorbent may have three functionalways to react with nitrogen Compounds. It mainly forms acid-basecompounds by Combining the lone-Pair electrons on the N atoms withvacant S orbit of the Fe atom. While adsorbing nonbasiC nitrogencompounds the electrons of the d orbit on the Fe atom combine withvacantπorbit of the containing N ring....
