Abstract/Summary:
In the past few decades, it has been paid growing attention in searching for non-cyclopentadienyl ligand. In recent years, considerable interest has focused on the monoanionic amidinate ligands. These ligands can meet the requirements of different metal centers, for the reason that their steric and electronic properties are easily tunable through variation of the substituents on the N-C-N framework. Amidinate compounds were found to be potential catalysts for the polymerization of olefins, hydroamination, intramolecular cyclization, and hydrosilylation. The miscellaneous coordination modes and promising catalytic activity have given a strong impetus to the development of the amidinate chemistry. The research work of this dissertation focuses on the characterization and synthesis of novel organometallic complexes incorporated with the silyl-linked bis(amidinate) ligands, The details is as following:Chapter 1. A background for the topic of this thesis is summarized, including:(1) synthesis and characterization of amidine; (2) research progress of amidinate metal complexes; (3) the catalytic applications of amidinate metal complexes.Chapter 2. The reactions of amidinate compounds a [SiMe2{NC(Ph)N(Ph)Li(thf)2}2], Scheme 1 Synthesis of tin compounds 2a-2c b [SiMe2{NC(Ph)N(2,6-Me2Ph)Li}2(thf)], c [{[SiMe2{NC(Ph)N(2,6-'Pr2Ph)}2]2Li3}-·{Li(thf)4}+] with the tin dichloride gave a group of tin(II) complexes 2a,2b, and 2c (Scheme 1). They were all characterized by X-ray diffraction technology and'HNMR.Chapter 3. The reactions of a, b and c with the zinc dichloride gave a group of organometallic compounds 3a,3b and 3c incorporating with the silyl-linked bis(amidinate) ligands (Scheme 2). They were characterized by X-ray diffraction crystallography and 1HNMR.Scheme 2 Synthesis of zinc compounds 3a-3cChapter 4. The manganese organometallic compound incorporating with the silyl-linked bis(amidinate) ligands 4c was synthesized, which was characterized by X-ray diffraction crystallography (Scheme 3). Scheme 3 Synthesis of manganese compound 4c...
