Lubricating oil is a kind of liquid lubricants which can be used on many kinds of machines for reducing friction, protecting machines and machined parts. Lubricating oil has wide application area, and with rapid development of our country, its dosage is rapidly developed too. Lubricating oil has more harm to the environment, and the harm more happened in the terrestrial environment. At present, biodegradability evaluation methodology research is a new research area ecological evaluation of lubricating oil. This article recommends present situation and tendency of lubricating oil, the make up and classification, effect of lubricating oil, analyses its performance index, poisonousness and mechanism of degradation. Also comprehensive analyses and compares with the biodegradability test methods and soil test methods between home and abroad lubricating oil, and devising a new soil test method on the basis of it, including the choose of determination target and method. The research chooses the degradation of lubricating oil as determine target, choose gravimetric analysis as determine method. The experiment choose Fuxing brand 10W/30 SG gasoline engine oil made by China petrochemical corp as explore target, choose surface layer soil in Zhengzhou northern suburbs forest park as experiment soil, choose culture in the soil polluted by lubricating oil as target, accentuatly explore the devised soil experiment method, and choose A,B,C,D four kinds of sample for degradation's contrast test, A sample is man-made add lubricating oil, and make its content to 5%; B sample is adding 12g urea,8g calcium superphosphate on the basis of A; C sample is adding infected water on the basis of B; D sample is control group (primary sample). To find the correlation properties and effect factor of lubricating oil in soil bioremediation. The test result indicates:(1) The quantity and kind of culture and nutrient in the soil can make little effect on the degradation rate of lubricating oil.(2) Soil experiment method can determine the biodegradation rate of lubricating oil, but the determine result of soil experiment can not truly show the degradation of lubricating oil.As a result, soil experiment method to evaluate degradation of lubricating oil has obvious deficiency and limitation, so we suggest it as one evaluation methodology to repair:polluted soil by lubricating oil.
