This article studied the synthesis of 22 D-xylofuranoses through esterification. The structures of target compounds were confirmed by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and HRMS spectrums, and their thermostability were studied by TG-DTG-DSC spectra. The pyrolysis of the precursor and the application of the compound in blended cigarette flavoring were studied as well, meanwhile two single crystal products were cultivated during the experiments. The results were as follows:1,With 4-DMAP as catalyst and DCC as dehydration reagent, 22 kinds of compounds with potential flavor were synthesized from D-xylofuran and a series of volatile acids, with the merits of simpler operation , fewer side reactions and higher yield. And all of the compounds were new.2,Represented by 1,2-O- propylidene -3-O-(2-methyl-2-penetenacyl)-5-O-benzoyl-D -xylofuranose , 8 compounds were analysed through TG-DTG-DSC. The results is that this series of compounds were steady below 150℃.3,Represented by 1,2-O-propylidene-3-O-isovaleric acyl -5-O- allylbenzene acyl -α-D- xylofuranose, the pyrolysis of the compounds at 300, 600 and 900℃were studied, pyrolysis mechanism was discussed as well. More than 60 kinds of thermolytic products were tested, and the major of them were precursor or themselves of aroma composition.4,All compounds were applied into cigarettes as flavors. The results showed that the synthesized products were in harmony with tobacco, and can reduce irritancy and offensive odor, enhance aroma quantity, improve aroma quality, make aroma more plump and exquisite. In one word, they can improve aesthetic quality of cigarettes inordinately, and the rational consumption was 0.1%. There were some differences among different compounds and different parts of tobacco.5,Two single crystal structure further validated their its structure.
