The experimental investigation of boiling point alkylation of benzene with propylene over YSBH-3 zeolite catalyst was carried out in a fixed bed reactor under 2MPa pressure. The influence of the physical state of reaction materials (from liquid to boiling point and gas phase) on the performance of YSBH-3 zeolite catalyst was researched, and the alkylation process was compared between 2MPa and 3MPa operating pressure. The results show:(1) YSBH-3 zeolite catalyst has better catalytic performance under 2MPa operating pressure than 3MPa, it can reache higher isopropylbenzene selectivity and lower di-isopropylbenzene and tri-isopropylbenzene selectivity, (2) Under 2MPa pressure, the boiling point alkylation of benzene with propylene can obtain the highest isopropylbenzene selectivity and the lowest di-isopropylbenzene, tri-isopropylbenzene and n-propylbenzene selectivity among these three of physical state of liquid to boiling point and gas phase for reaction materials, this result is very benefit to improving the produce quality and reducing production cost. Subsequently, with the Single-Factor test method, the effects of liquid space velocity (5-35h-1) and benzene/propylene molar ratio (5-12) on the boiling point alkylation process were studied, respectively, the appropriate alkylation condition ranges for the isopropylbenzene synthesis are 2MPa, molar ratio of benzene to propylene 8:1-10:1 and liquid space velocity 9-11 h-1.By means of the one-dimensional reactor mathematical model, the reactor performance simulation was carried out for the synthesis of isopropylbenzene under boiling point operating conditions. The influence of feeding ways on the alkylation was investigated and the suitable operation process was determined. The results showed that the suitable operating conditions in three-section adiabatic fixed-bed reactor was as follow:pressure 2MPa, feeding molar ratio of raw material benzene to propylene 4:1, the feed ratio of benzene for each bed 0.5:0.25:0.25, the boiling point has been adopt in the first bed, the liquid phase alkylation was put into use by other two beds(the temperature of the input materials 40℃).
