Anchorage monitoring is always the key problem who urgently needs to improve in geotechnical engineering. Based on full-scale distributed of Brillouin and fiber Bragg grating sensing technology, I research and develop a smart fiber-reinforced polymer anchor with embedded self-sensing optical fiber sensors. It can provide the full-scale distributed and some key points measurement of the strain and a long-term stable means of monitoring. In this paper, it elaborate the construction of FBG collinear system, the design of the smart anchor and the experiment studies. Its main contents are as follows:Firstly, the optical fiber Bragg grating and distributed Brillouin fiber sensing technology have been introduced, then join the two technologies and the fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) together. Based on these work, the smart fiber-reinforced polymer anchor with embedded self-sensing optical fiber sensors have been developed . And it describes the layout of the sensor in details, which provides reliable protection for its excellent durability and accuracy of the sensors.Secondly, I do some experiment studies on the performances of the smart anchor. Smart anchor realized the measurement of strain in full distribution and some key points on the anchor. And the smart anchor have the more sensitivity and accuracy in analysis of the structure damage location by comparison with the strain gauge. Finally, it introduced the advantages of the improved smart anchor by embeded strands, its production process and the experiment studies of it. The experiment result showed that the improved one can also achieve the anchor bolt's full-scale strain monitoring by the test system of Brillouin distributed.Through the research, the smart fiber-reinforced polymer anchor with embedded self-sensing optical fiber sensors achieved the measurement of strain in full-scale and some key points of the anchor, and the detection of the damage location of the anchor. It also solved the problem of durability of the sensors and avoided the corrosion problem of steel bolts. It can provide direct and reliable information for the anchorage monitoring in geotechnical engineering. |
