Research On Strategy Of Energy Controlling For WEDM-LS Corner-cutting

WEDM-LS, as a high-precision machine tool, can manufacture high-quality workpiece and is widely used in the field of special materials. However, in the process, the electrode wire will inevitably bend and lag behind the NC track, making the corner error in the corner cutting. With the development of technology, precision of workpiece to meet the requirements is needed to further improve. So study how to reduce the error of corner is an important direction. To solve the above problems, this paper proposes a strategy of corner energy controlling, in the premise of ensuring the efficiency and surface roughness, which greatly improves the precision of the corner, the market competitiveness and its scope of application.In this paper,some researches are made as follows:1. Impact of electrical parameters and non-electric parameters of WEDM-LS on surface roughness, machining efficiency and machining accuracy are analyzed, this is prepared for the corner-cutting strategy and experiments.2. Theoretically analyze the impact of wire lag on the corner error, then simulate the processes of corner cutting using the matlab. The relationship between machining parameters and the cutting energy is established. For solving the problem of corner error, the way of how to reduce the corner error is analyzed and the strategy of corner cutting energy controlling is established. To improve the processing efficiency as the main goal, the strategy is optimized and the steps of reducing the energy explains are elaborated.3. On the WEDM-LS machine tool, orthogonal experiment study is carried. Through analysis of experimental data, the optimum parameters will be obtained. According to the experimental results, energy controlling of corner-cutting is made.4. Database is established, which interface and function about are given.
