| High-pressure water jet cutting is a novel technology that has developed in recentdecades; it has been used more and more widely. Many factors can affect the water jetcutting characteristics; interaction between the different process parameters is existed; therelationship is complex and nonlinear. It is very important about how to match andoptimization the process parameter to improve the cutting efficiency and quality in thefield of high-pressure water jet cutting. It is of important academic value and practicalsignificance to technological parameters of high pressure water jet cutting.(1) This paper analyzes the cutting mechanism, kerf profile and section features ofabrasive water jet cutting. The mechanism of striation generation on the cut surface wasdiscussed. Based on laboratory tests, four process parameters which have major influenceon the abrasive water jet cutting characteristics, such as water pressure, abrasive flow,traverse speed and off distance are discussed.(2) The problem that exists in the water jet cutting was analyzed. Then using the random, parallel and adaptive searchtechnology of the genetic algorithm, established a genetic algorithm system that based onthe self-adaption functions of neural network. Use this system to optimization thetechnological parameters of water jet cutting.By the way of tests and studies on main process parameters of water jet cutting,provide accordance of choosing actual machining process parameters and a practicalapproach of optimizing parameters. |
