At present, transporting nature gas by pipeline is the main way of nature gas transportation, however, adding nature gas dra into pipeline is the most effective way to increase capacity and reduce energy consumption.In this paper, various compounds were analyzed in the highly unsaturated ester product with gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. The compound 9, 12 - diene eighteen acid esters of glycerol is found and the content of this compound in the highly unsaturated ester product was 20.5%.The difference between this compound and nature gas dra is that this compound has more unsaturated carbon-carbon double bonds. If this compound can be hydrogenated, the nature gas dra will be gotten.In alkaline conditions, ultrafine nickel powder catalyst was synthesized and the nickel powder size was generally less than 2μm scanned by scanning electron microscope. Through the XRD figure, the catalyst was impurity which contained sodium salt. Sodium salt will avoid catalyst nickel powder with the highly unsaturated ester product conducting saponification reaction, thus it played a very good role in dispersing protecting nickel powder, so nickel powder catalyst always maintained a high catalytic activity.The hydrogenation reaction product which was synthesized by the ultrafine nickel powder catalyzing highly unsaturated ester product was analyzed by chromatography and mass spectrum. The result presented that 9, 12 - diene eighteen acid esters of glycerol had been selectively hydrogenated into 9 - eighteen acid esters of glycerol by 77.8% and the content of 9 - eighteen acid esters of glycerol in the hydrogenation reaction product was 15.9%. Various compounds were analyzed in the standard product of nature gas dra by gas chromatography and mass spectrometry. The target compound 9 - eighteen fatty acid esters of glycerol was found to have the effect on the drag reduction and the content of the target compound in the standard nature gas dra product was 16.7% which was similar to the hydrogenation reaction product. Therefore, it is possible to get nature gas dra by hydrogenating highly unsaturated esters product.
