In comparison with large number of experiments, simulation can shorten design period, lower human and material cost in fluidization research and design.This paper uses experiment and simulation method to research the gas-solid bubbling fluidized bed. Summarize the law between pressure drop of air distributor and flux by cold testing without solid, and study the relationships between materiel bed height, pressure drop, flux, and bubble height. Simulate the fluidized bed with side holes blast cap air distributor by FLUENT software. Find a mathematical model and simulation method to describe the flow characteristics well compare to cold experimental results. Build a virtual " experiment platform" by computer, and modify the structural parameters of air distributor and operating parameters on this " experiment platform" instead of large number of experiments.Simulation results of single-phase (gas) flow of single and seven blast caps show that, the spacing between blast caps can not be ignored. Simulation results of two-dimensional bed show that it is unreasonable. Simulate the gas-solid two fluid of seven blast caps model, compare drag models between Syamlal-O'Brien, Wen-Yu, Gidaspow, and modified Syamlal-O'Brien, The simulation result show that modified Syamlal-O'Brien drag model agree with the experiment result well.In this paper, the geometric model of 43 blast caps and modified Syamlal-O'Brien drag model are used to simulate the gas-solid fluidized bed. Take materiel bed height of 20 mm and 30 mm for example to analyze assessment indicators both bubble height and pressure drop. Compare to the experiment, the result showed less errors within 10%, the simulation results can describe the experiment results well, so the geometric model, physical model and mathematical model be used are reasonable. analyze the growth of bubble and vortex in fluidized bed according to the simulation results which can not take by experiment Modify the opening rate of air distributor, research the opening rate how to influence the pressure drop, bubble height, bubble size.This simulation method can provide reference for the experiment study of fluidized bed...
