Synthesis Design Method For Modern Office Storage Furniture Design Which Can Flexibly Reflect Customer Requirements

Chinese furniture industry is currently in a critical stage of development. The topic that how to find a way of development with creative design as the core concept is one of the main challenges for both practitioners and researchers. This thesis addresses this demand and focuses on the issue that "how to design office storage products which can flexibly reflect customers' requirements". After combine the traditional design methods with the present customer requirements and design condition, the thesis proposed a synthesis design method which integrates modular design and systematic design altogether. The approach employs the valuable part of foreign design experiences and has considered the characters of Chinese furniture industry, which generally suits most of the Chinese furniture enterprises.In order to establish a comprehensive design approach, this thesis analyzes the design factors of contemporary office storage products; classifies and summarizes the current design status and design trend of the present office storage products; studies the process of obtaining and analyzing customer requirements in detail. By Combining the strength of the modular design approach and the systematic design approach, which are the main-stream design methods for flexibly reflecting customer requirements, this thesis proposes a comprehensive design approach and establishes a theoretical design model.Based on the proposed model, this thesis establishes a system of "people-produ-ct-environment" for office storage products; applies the space analyzing approach in series planning and nest-superposition approach in modules division; proposes variabi-lity Com plex analysis procedure in the detailed module design; classifies modules ac-cording to t heir structures and levels. All the new approaches optimiz and improve the existed met hod, are more suiatable for current condition.On employing the proposed comprehensive design approach, the process of office s-torage products design will become more reasonable and easier to control. The products designed according to the method can flexibly reflecting customer requirements as we-11 as control the cost and shorten the production cycle.
