Research On Application Of WPC In Kitchen Furniture

As a new material, WPC is composed from the wood fiber and plastic under certain proportion, with its properties are very different from woods. Therefore, despite there are many materials used in the domestic kitchen furniture and many studies on the cabinet structure of the domestic kitchen furniture, few research has carried on the applied of WPC for specific furniture. This paper makes the plastic-wood shelf as the object of study, and its pollution resistance, water and heat resistance, carrying capacity as the breaking point, by combining physical, chemical and mechanical tests, to study the concrete application of WPC. It focuses on the following aspects:1) analysis of contamination-resistant performance of WPC;2) analysis of properties of cigarette-burning resistance of WPC;3) influence of hot and humid conditions on the properties of bending and color of WPC;4) influence of installation span/height on the bearing capacity of WPC shelf;5) influence of installation span/height on the creep properties of WPC shelf.The results show that:1) soy sauce, liquids of tobacco and tea affect the color and gloss of WPC boards little;2) as containing plastic, WPC is easy to be charred and agglomerated when meeting burning. And as containing wood materials, it is easy to be carbonized and became black. Consequently the material needs to be veneered with wear-resistant, burning-resistant paper to apply in the thermal field;3) hot and humid conditions have a certain impact on the material color of WPC, that high temperature is easy to cause it bubbling and agglomerating. And with temperature increasing, the flexural properties of WPC decline;4) span impacts the deflection of WPC shelf larger, while height litter.5) span has an influence on the creep of WPC shelf. The height of shelf has no effect on the creep properties.
