High speed motorized spindle, as a core component of higher NC machine, its dynamic property directly affect machining accuracy and reliability. With the spindle speed increasing, traditional method based on experience, analogy and static can't satisfy the design need of high-end motorized spindle. To accomplish its dynamic design, it is urgent and necessary to make an analysis of spindle dynamic performance, and develop a rotor dynamics analysis software for all kinds of motorized spindle. The main content of this paper are as follows:(1) Based on the transfer matrix method, build the dynamics analysis module of single rotor spindle system, and computing method of critical speed, vibration mode, unbalance response and stiffness, and write a calculator program in common use. Take HSM130 motorized spindle for example, make a computational analysis and compare with laboratory findings. The result shows that error of natural frequency and experimental value is within 5%, verifying the validity of module and program.(2) Based on whole transfer matrix method, build the dynamics analysis module and computing method of dual rotors spindle system. Take TM280 motorized spindle for example, make a computational analysis, and discuss the impact of structural factors on dynamics performance and the relationship of dual rotors shafting dynamic performance and single rotor.(3) Develop a dynamics analysis software for motorized spindle single, dual rotors principal axis system. This software which is fit for multi-support, multi-span solid or hollow axis system can consider added mass of axis when modeling, and compute critical speed and vibration mode in random order, also can make a response analysis existing unbalance at different positions, and compute the static and dynamic stiffness of shaft end.
