With the progressing of the equipment manufacturing industry,The 5-axis processing technology is the main trend of the Computer Numerical Control(CNC) machine in the future,Double swing cutter head is the key componet of the CNC machine. The domestic woodworking's demand of complex curved surface is becoming wider and higher, while the CNC Machine for Woodworking is moving in high speed, high precision, the direction of five-axis control,the research on the double swing cutter head of woodworking machine only just begin, the past experiences is extremely lack. The multi-axis machine tool can not be function without the support of CNC system, the orthodox CNC system can't meet the current manufacturing of machinery instruments market's changes and competition, can not meet its demand of being agile and informational. Thus,with the quick developmen and wide expansion of the PC technology. Open CNC controller is processing, it does not rely on specific hardware platforms and operating system platform, modular and standardized architecture allows users to secondary development, is the numercial technology research's hot point and direction.This paper aims to open the CNC system development which based on the structure and principles of double swing cutter head test platform control system, the test platform is for the double swing cutter head's performance testing and functional tests while collecting initial data for the manufacture and futher development. By the developing of the double swing cutter head's control system to develop and verify numerical control of machine tools based functional modules. Developing and verifying the method wich combine the PC with the independent motion controller on the basis of Open CNC system model. Fufilling the establishment of the test platform to debug every portions in the unity, meanwhile accumulating the data and experience.The author build a double swing cutter test platform hardware system, accomplished framework for the overall software system, labeled various functional modules which constitute the development model, nailed down the main function of each module and the form of the interface and developed the CNC modules dedicated for double swing cutter head test platform, using visual c++ 6.0 as the developing environment. The dedicated CNC modules can be inherited and apply in the similar projects in the future. The author also design a friendly interactive interface for the system, programmed and developed the system's Management Module such as menu management, data flow management, state diagnosis, data communications management module etc. Ensuring real-time of the double swing cutter head test plat for's open CNC system, testing its anti-interference, and discussing in light of the actual issue for the future development of similar projects for reference.
