This paper introduces the Li2O-MgO-SiO2 system glass ceramics processes and characterization. Meanwhile to the glass ceramics situation domestic and international, preparation methods and process flow, classification, application and so on various aspects was systematically expounded on lithium magnesium silicon, and the application field of glass are reviewed. This experiment use melting and crystallization techniques, respectively with P2O5 and ZrO2 as nucleation agent which is prepared Li2O-MgO-SiO2 is transparent glass ceramics. By the analysis of DTA curve and several experiments there is a result that the crystallization temperature of the sample was 725℃; By the analysis of XRD curve it can obtain the main crystalline phase which is Li2Si2O5, in which magnesium ions assume the role of the network; By scanning electron microscopy (SEM) it can observe the internal micro structure of glass ceramics, which can be seen with the increasing annealing temperature, the grain size is increased. Spherical grain shape, grain size is uniform, moderate density, almost no aggregation. The average grain size is about 30-50nm. MgO style plays a good help melt. Best through rate can reach 78%. Along with the increasing of the number the size is increasing, instead, the transmittance in constant is droping. The effect of ZrO2 as nucleation agent of chromatography crystal is better than P2O5...
