| Cationic starch flocculants (CSF) was synthesized by corn starch in Isopropanol without adding catalyst. Then grafted acrylamide monomer onto CSF, we got cationic poly-acryl grafted starch flocculants. The dosage of starch and the dosage of Cationic monomer and the Optimum reaction time, reaction temperature were decided by single factor method and orthogonal experiment.Effects of the dosage of acrylamide, grafting reaction time, reaction temperature on viscosity and flocculation properties of the modified starch flocculation were also studied by single factor method and orthogonal experiment. And the optimum reaction conditions were got finally.Using different kinds of alcohols as solvents, we knew that, by using Isopropanol as solvent without adding catalyst we could get good cationic modified starch with high Amine degrees. The flocculation performance was examined in simulation printing and dyeing wastewater and printing and dyeing wastewater from dye factory. The results showed the flocculation performance of the modified starch flocculants was good and the optimum flocculation conditions were studied. The flocculation time was reduced by blending modified starch and PAC together .And the optimum proportions were also studied.FTIR, Uv-vis spectrophotometer, SEM was used to characterize the modified starch, and further proofed the successful modification. |
