Coated paper is one of the mainly stock for printing, and its performance determines the quality of printing color. That's to say, only could the coated paper with good performance assure better printing color effect on products. Therefore, an important practical significance in improving product quality will be approached by comprehending the relationship correctly between coated paper's performance and color rendering of printing products, requiring suitable coated paper to print that depends on characteristics of printing products and process conditions. The smoothness, brightness, glossiness and ink absorption of coated paper play an important roal in color rendering of printing ink. Paper surface efficiency (PSE) is used to predict the changes of printing color correctly. In this paper, each performance of many kinds of coated paper was tested, and the quantitative statistics to their color reappearance effect has been taken. Each group of data has been analyzed with the means of linear regression method to quantify the printing quality of all kinds of coated paper. This work has great referential value for evaluate all kinds of coated paper quality and color reappearance effect and could be used as a basis to guide the production.
