Through extensively investigated of fluid flow in eccentric annular, and understanding of Herschel-Bulkley rheological model; this article described the classification of non-Newtonian fluids and defined Herschel-Bulkley fluid, also introduced The present condition of study methods of eccentric annular flow field and its development tendency. Also do a detailed introduction of computational fluid dynamics elementary knowledge and FLUENT software, introduced the architecture, characteristics, advantages and the problem solving process of FLUENT software; established physical model of concentric annular and eccentric annular flow field through using the pre-processing software GAMBIT in three-dimensional coordinate system, and numerical simulated laminar flow and turbulent flow in concentric annular flow field for Newtonian and Herschel-Bulkley fluid, processed the data and images after numerical calculation by using Origin,Photoshop and other software, Newtonian and Herschel-Bulkley fluid's speed distributions in concentric annular were got. This two kinds of laminar flow in the concentric annulus were compared, also summarized how can the flow index,dynamic shear force of Herschel-Bulkley fluid impact its laminar flow in concentric annulus.In this paper, Newtonian fluid and Herschel - Bulkley fluid flow in eccentric annular were numerical simulated, through analysed, obtained Newtonian fluid velocity and pressure distribution in eccentric annular under different eccentricity and the entrance velocity, given the influence of Newtonian fluid flow in eccentric annular under varying eccentricity and inlet velocity. In this paper, also done numerical simulation for Herschel-Bulkley fluid in eccentric annular, processed the data and images after numerical calculation by using Origin,Photoshop and other software, given the impact of velocity and pressure distribution in eccentric annular under different eccentricity,inlet velocity,consistency coefficient,flow index,dynamic shear force in the form of a curve, let the numerical results more intuitive.Through computation and analysis in this article, used numerical methods to analyze what the law of Newtonian fluid,Herschel-Bulkley fluid flow in annular, carrying on the research on drilling engineering and this kind of problem in other areas has realistic meanings.
