In the process of modification of the military propellant, the development of perforating bullet, the blasting mining of high-valuable stone materials, there exist the phenomenon that gunpowder (or propellant), explosives are used together in different ways. Up to date, the explosive effects and reaction mechanism of the different combined charging of gunpowder (or propellants) and explosive have been studied; some according conclusions have been gotten. But the relationship between physicochemical properties, the process of detonation (or deflagration) propagation, the mechanism of reaction in different combined charges need to be further studied.On the basis of the classic C-J model and the ZND model, this paper introduces three types of cohesion explosives detonation reaction mechanism of detonation propagation:the overall reaction mechanism, the surface reaction mechanism (or "hot spots" mechanism), the mixed reaction mechanism, as well as a description of the application scope of these mechanisms. Clearly defined the basic conception of combined charge and interpreted primarily the action mechanisms of the combined charge. Theoretical analysis and the experimental dates show that:the detonation or explosion rate of gunpowder is different from that of high explosive in the combined charge in axial after initiating by detonators; and the shock wave generated by high explosives in detonator compressed gunpowder(or propellant),then ignited it, or there exist obvious advance effect of the shock wave in the process, Therefore, the overall process's pressure- time waveforms of underwater explosion of the joint charge are different from those of high explosives under the same condition, they are typical multi-peak waveforms.The results of underwater explosion test show indirectly that the detonation processes under different conditions in combined charge structure of gunpowder, explosives is consistent with the former theoretical analysis, and also verify the theoretical analysis is reasonable. Experiments show that the underwater explosion test of the detonation effects of combined charge is an intuitive, accurate and convincing method. The study on underwater explosion test of combined charge of the prepared black powder and PETN is meaningful to underwater explosion, public safety and research and development of new initiating explosive devices.Figure 40 table 10 reference 34...
