Organotin compounds have excellent anti-cancer, sterilization, and catalytic properties, and these organometallic compounds of great research value are widely used in industry, agriculture and medicine. Experiments showed that the performance of organotin compound relates to the tin atoms coordination form, alkyl structure and ligand type, especially some properties special and the structure novel of organotin compounds could been produced by the connection of sterically hindered alkyl with the tin atom.In order to further study the relationship between sterically hindered alkyl and organotin properties, thirty one sterically hindered organotin complexes were designed and synthesized, in which twenty compounds were not reported. All compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, 1~H NMR, etc; crystal structure, quantum chemistry and spectroscopic properties of some compounds were studied. This paper includes the following five parts:1. The seven sterically hindered organotin materials and one ligand have been synthesized. The crystal structure of di(p-cyanobenzyl)tin dichloride has been determined by X-ray diffraction, which is three-dimensional supramolecular network structure and is assembled through hydrogen bonds between molecules.2. The nine organotin compounds were synthesized. The crystal structure of Chlorodibenzyltin-2-quininate has been determined by X-ray diffraction. Tin atoms rendered one-dimensional chain structure by bridging carboxy of quinoline-2- carboxylic acid.3. The fourteen organotin compounds were synthesized through the reaction of tricyclohexyl tin hydroxide as raw materials with the organic ligand containing N, S, O. 11 crystal structures of the 14 compounds have been determined by X-ray diffraction. The data of structure can be divided into three categories: (Ⅰ) monomer structure, (Ⅱ) one-dimensional chain structure, (Ⅲ) two-dimensional or three-dimensional supramolecular structure.4. The quantum chemistry calculation of four complexes was performed by B3LYP/LANL2DZ set. The stabilities of the complexes, some frontier molecular orbital energies and composition characteristies of some frontier moleeular orbitals were investigated.5. The UV-Vis spectra and the fluorescence spectra of partial compounds have been tested, and the fluorescent light-emitting mechanism have been studied.
