Shul super heavy oil block is an important block since the ninth five year plan. Shul OOIP is 183080000 tons, among it, Du84 is 33610000 tons, it's put into CSS since 1996, the production exceeded 1280000 tons since 2000, now the yearly production is 970000 tons. But along with the increase of production, problems emerged for super heavy oil production. First, because of many cycles of CSS, the effect is declining. The second factor is, CSS well declining rate is high, with low ultimate recovery efficiency not more than 25%. In this background, steam stimulated gravity drainage was selected and for its efficiency and economic benefits. Sep.2006, Shul Block SAGD pilot test secceeded and was appoved by the PetroChina Co.But for SAGD dynamic monitoring, there is a lack of such technology in China, which restricted its further spreading. The paper, based on the field experience of conversion from CSS to SAGD, carried out dynamic study, divided the SAGD process to four stages; obtained main parametric limits for SAGD dynamic adjustment; And adjustment plan for interbeded strata Xingâ…„was proposed, make innovations to SAGD and steam flood combined production, greatly improved SAGD pilot development effect, and fulfilled the goal of the design.
