In recent years, China's automobile quantities increase rapidly which promoted economic growth, at the same time, it also brought the energy shortage, traffic congestion, air pollution and so on a series of social problems, especially a lot of pressure on oil supplies. In order to alleviate the pressure of shortage of oil resources, improve the atmospheric environment, looking for stable supply, emissions cleaner alternative to gasoline has become the world are very concerned about, methanol-gasoline with its own advantages become the focus of attention.Methanol-gasoline as the research object in this paper, the gap between theory fuel consumption of methanol-gasoline blends and measured fuel consumption by engine test bench experiment as the main research contents of methanol-gasoline blends, this paper respectively from the methanol-gasoline blends calorific value and the actual fuel consumption to explore why this gap exists. Therefore, in this paper research processes separately carried on the determination of methanol-gasoline blends calorific value and engine test bench experiment, and gain a lot of experimental data. Through experiment method and experimental data analysis, obtained the related research conclusion.Through the calorific value of the data measured error analysis found that the calorific value of experimental with the calculated and literature values are approximately equal; In engine outside characteristics comparative experiments, the M15 and M85 compared with gasoline, quality low calorific value of the air-fuel mixture lower small, so the engine fueled with methanol-gasoline fuel compared with burning gasoline, the dynamic performance of the engine is almost the same; in the load characteristics of comparative experiments, we found that when the engine fueled with M85 methanol-gasoline fuel consumption measured at different rotation speeds change vary greatly, but fueled with M15 the change is not obvious. Through theory fuel consumption of methanol-gasoline blends calculated by calorific value and the measured fuel consumption of comparative analysis, find the reasons of gap between theoretical fuel consumption and measured fuel consumption.In this paper, the application of methanol-gasoline on EFI engine were analyzed for further study the application features and give full play to the advantages of methanol-gasoline laid a foundation; to guide the promotion and application of methanol-gasoline, to rationally and effectively using resources has certain practical significance.
