With the rapid development of printing technology, the processing of Printing and the equipments of testing have been more and more automated and intelligent. Automatic register control is the core of the printing pressing control system. It is the most important factor that can decide the quality of the printing products. However, the process of registering may impact by many factors, the printing machine must require higher performance printing register control and reliable control algorithms. At this moment, the industry used high-precision automatic register control systems are mostly imported from abroad, the prices are more expensive, the control system can only meet the domestic requirements. Therefore, the development of high-precision register control system is of great significance.With the in-depth understanding of the gravure printing system works, we can analyse the uncertainty, hysteresis,overshoot and oscillation of the system model with the collected data. And with the shaftless printint machine system, we can give a brief introduction to the key theoretical basis.As the complexity and nonlinear of the printing press system, the common PID controller makes it difficult to meet the ordinary needs, this paper introduces a new algorithm-genetic with Ant colony (GAAA) algorithm to determine the PID parameters. Through comparatimve analysis of the classical model, we can get that the GAAA algorithm is better than the Z-N algorithm.Finally, we make a variety of simulation with the several input signals, and show that the algorithm has been good rapidity, little overrun, especially, when the disturbance is big, the stability is rather good. The applications of in practice show that the printing precision and printing speed of the kind of gravure printing press can be improved greatly with the help of the controller system, so it has good application foreground.
