Chongming Island is the portal for Yangtze River, and it is an important strategic resource for Shanghai sustainable development, which is known as "The last piece Pure Land of ecological in Shanghai". In the new<Chongming Master Plan (2005~2020)> born in2005, it has cleared the positioning of Chongming in Shanghai sustainable development an important strategic resources. Moreover, in the background of eco-island construction, it is extremely an important contribution to Shanghai's industrial restructuring and carbon sequestration for vigorously promote the reasearch on Chongming wetland carbon sources&sinks and effectively assess&calculate the the Chongming natural ecosystem carbon flux.Based on the research results and multi-techniques, this paper taken environmental satellite image data, and establised a space information management system for Chongming wetland carbon source/sink of remote sensing, adding existing Chongming wetland ecosystem carbon flux monitoring station data. This system provided a data supportation for Chongming carbon flux estimatation model and the necessary knowledge and data reserve for wetland carbon flux. In this paper, the results are summarized as follows:1. Construct a space information database for remote sensing data. This system integrated environmental satellite data, MODIS data, Landsat satellite data and aerial photo data, and provided an important data source for the carbon sources&sinks estimation model based on remote sensing-driven.2. Automated for remote sensing space data preprocessing. This system packaged a variety of image pre-processing links including image atmospheric correction, radiometric calibration, geometric correction and image irregular cutting, and automated the process flow. Meanwhile, different images were converted into the same format, same coordinates and same study area, and provided multi-source, multi-temporal, multi-resolution image data to study Chongming wetland carbon flux.3. Automated extraction of remote sensing spatial information. Based on the ENVI techology, using IDL programming language, this paper realized automated extraction information for the vegetation index, enhanced vegetation index, leaf area index and surface water content. Meanwhile, the calculated results can be stored in spatial database by images, and it provided a data source for Chongming carbon flux estimation model. Moreover, it also can be directly output in the form of relational tables, which is easy to analyze the image data.4. Realized the remote sensing and geographic information system. Based on the.NET technology and combined with RS&GIS, it had been integrated at the bottom.
