The Coherence Analysis Of Plate Rotation And Paleomagnetic Declination Change

In view of the deficiency that plate clockwise(counterclockwise) rotation can be determined by the paleomagnetic inclination change that remains in the rocks in the neighboring times,i.e. paleomagnetic declination change preserved in the older rocks when newer rock formation ,and north-south movement component can be determined by the latilude change in rocks forming calculated by magnetic inclination ,but east-west movement component can not be determined. Because the paleomagnetic inclination remains in the rocks and the geographic latitude has one-to-one correspondence, there is no doubt about the north and south plate movement that is determined. But how is the relationship between plate rotation and the paleomagnetic declination change and if it is the paleomagnetic declination changes are integrated effect of multiple factors, there is no literature reported today. It is necessary to analysis the coherence of plate rotation and paleomagnetic declination change.The law of paleomagnetic declination change and plate rotation caused by plate motion is study in terms of paleomagnetism basic principle and the movement mechanism of the lithosphere plate and use stereographic projection analysis and Mathematical derivationThe study show that: It is not relevant between paleomagnetic declination changes and plate rotation.So it's worth discussing to confirm the plate rotation by paleomagnetic data traditionally used.
