Wetland ecosystem is one of the most important components of water resources and water cycle of river basin with the highest biodiversity, and is one of the most important survival environment for human and biology. Evapotranspiration(ET) is the major form of water deprivation in wetland.Study of wetland ET can provide accurate and reliable data for the implementation of wetland protection and restoration.Mosses peat and herbaceous peat of Jinchuan were used to study the effects of soil bulk density, groundwater level, temperature, humidity, vegetation on peat Evapotranspiration(ET) through laboratory experiment. The results showed as follows:(1)The ET decreased with the soil bulk density of peat. Because the hydraulic conductivity of peat was small attribute to its great density and small porosity.(2) There was a positive relationship between ET and water level. The ET of peat increased with the with the rising of water level. The similar relationship was occurred between temperature and ET.(3)There was a negative relationship between ET and humidity. It showed that the ET of peat decreased with the decreasing of water exchange due to the lower humidity.(4) Vegetation types also had effects on ET of peat. In this study, the ET of mosses peat was stronger than that of herbaceous peat.
