With the pervasive demand for nano materials by the development of technology, the nano-size ferroelectric thin film,because of its good ferroelectric, pyroelectric, piezoelectric and nonlinear optical properties and other characteristics, has a wide range of potential applications in some aspects like optical devices, sensors, tunable microwave components and ultrahigh-density memory devices. At the same time, it becomes an important research of the nano science at present.This article simulates the ferroelectric properties of a model of ABO3 thin film sandwiched between metal electrodes based on the Time Dependent Ginzburg-Landau(TDGL)equation. We discuss how the photovoltaic effect affect the ferroelectric properties of nanoscale ABO3 thin film and the external mechanical loads have been found to significantly control the photovoltaic effect. The simulation results show that the size effect has a remarkable influence on the photocurrent of the thin film whose magnitude can be controlled by the external condition such as the mechanical loads.
