The Stimulated Raman Adiabatic Passage(STIRAP) is an important technique in controlling the atomic states and it has been widely used in atom manipulation, population transfer among quantum states of atoms, preparation of a quantum states and deterministic single-photon source. It is thus important to generate Raman laser for the experiment.Four methods are proposed about the generation of Raman laser: sideband of light through AOM, current modulation of diode laser, frequency difference locking by electronic phase-locked loop, optical sideband of light through EOM. We select the method of optical sideband through EOM with interference filter. The main works shown in the thesis are follows:1. We finished a resonant frequency tunable filter which is temperature controlled. Free spectrum range of 18.19GHz and the linewidth of 505MHz are measured.2. We obtained the continuous Raman laser through fiber phase modulator and the filter. Each of the sideband power is 120μW. The contrast between sideband and carrier is 21dB.3. Pulsed Raman laser through fiber amplitude modulator and arbitrary function generator is eventually obtained and the cycle time is 2μs. 4. Single atom is observed by the transmission signal of an optical micro-cavity. Temperature of the MOT is determined by single atom detection and analysis and the single atom trajectory was also measured with the accuracy of about 100nm.
