Cellulose is the most abundant renewable resource in nature. There are billions of products by photosynthesis every year which cellulose taking almost half ones, but only asmall part are utilized. It has great realistic significance for solving energy crisis, by utilizing and transforming cellulose to available energy for human beings. Specifically, it first degrades the cellulose to monose by cellulase, then transforms it to green resourse-cellulosic alcohol. Since the product of enzymolysis is easily recycled and utilized, most importantly lower pollution, the enzymolysis of cellulose becomes an idea and recognized transforming method. However, the high cost of cellulase can't be avoided if it plans to massive producein the future. Therefore, it is a critical factor to obtain high activity and high stability cellulase during the production of cellulosic ethanol. In order to find this kind of cellulase, scientists have conducted a large number of selections from different species, and deep studied the activity and property of the obtained ones. Moreover, it is an important research field in exploiting the cellulase resource to obtain high activity and special propertycellulase, which can also provide more information for analyze and remould of protein structure of cellulase. Thanks to the speciality and high activity, animal cellulase is a nature resource with excellent property. Hence, we select Omphis fuscidentalisas research object to extract and purify its cellulase and then analyze the properties of this cellulase.The O.fuscidentalislarvaes live in the body of Gigantochloa levis, and feed on the cellulose-rich materials. It can hydrolyze cellulose to glucose as energy resource through its cellulose, which might be different from grazing animals because they depend on different digestive environment. Through obtaining and analyzing this kind of animal's cellulase, we look forward to find some cellulase with new characteristics. It hopes to provide new gene resource by utilizing biotechnology method to obtain high efficient cellulase.O.fuscidentalisare used as the experimental materials in this research. Crude enzyme was obtained after homogenization and extraction by citric acid buffer solution. Further protein precipitation was prepared to test the activity of cellulase. The activity and the optimum environmental conditions of the O. fuscidentaliscellulase were tested with different enzyme concentrations by DNSreaction. Besides, the effects of different mental ions on the cellulase were investigated. The results showed that filter paper units activity was FPU= 0.5438 U/ml, activity test about substrate for the microcrystalline celluloseactivity was CB =0.4296 U/ml,sodium carboxymethyl cellulose activity was CMC=0.3657 U/ml,salicin activity was SA=0.5285U/ml.
