Bauxite is a kind of nautral and component-changeable mixture containing of mang minerals which is mostly alumina mixed with water.Mainly it is mixed up by ultrafine boehmite,diaspore,gibbsite,and clay mineral,hematite,goethit,quartz,anatase with different quantities.Bauxite of Kaili area,Guizhou province lies in Kaili-Huangping bauxite ore belt. This area is abound in bauxite rescoures.Because the traffice and conditions of exploitation are get behind,the local bauxites are undeveloped. Nowadays,the prospecting exploration work has been fully carried out and the exploration has been on the agenda in this area. And the survey work is in low levels,so it's short of the ore deposits of minerals,mineral form,texture and structure,the relationship between the principal components and other related information.In the course of studying,we have used automatic x-ray diffraction and electron microprobe to analyze the ore,also,there was a comprehensive analysis of laboratory data which originated from Kaili Bauxite in Guizhou province.We summed up the geological characteristics of the working area and established the prospecting signs.The main purpose is to serve the scientific research,guide the production and identify the ore structure,composition and the associated occurrence rare element and its state of existence,guiding the future development of bauxite.To sum up,there are basically the following results:1.The ore-bearing rock series belong to the mid-permina Liangshan formation and chlorite rock,clay rocks,bauxite rock series, bauxite orebody lies in the upper of the ore-bearing rocks.2.Diaspore in the ore is the main useful mineral,accounting for 65-92% of the t otal minerals,and a small amount of boehmite plastic-aluminum,gibbsite occasionally. Followed by clay minerals,including illite,montmorillonite,kaolinite,accounting for 5-25% of the total mineral;thirdly limonite lepidocrocite, pyrite,quartz,calcite,about 1-3% of the total ore;pyrite ores exist in the bottom of local ledges mostly.Heavy mi nerals mainly are anatase,and a small amount of ma-gnetite,tourmaline,zircon,rutile o ccasionally. The ores in district is the ideal raw materials as a production of alumin a.3.The main ore structure includes grain mud-crystal structure, mud-crystal grain structure, mud-crystal crystallite structure, recrystallization structure,re-grain structure and so on.Ore conformation gives priority to fabaceous conformation, oolitic conformation,followed by earthy conformation, semi-earthy conformation and oddment conformation,a few compact nubby conformation in deep-layer.4.Ores contains Al, Si, Fe, Ca, Mg, K, Na, Ti, V, Be, Ga, S,Mn, Cr, Zr, Cu, Sn, Pb, Zn, Ni, B, and so on.The grade 65%-75% of Al2O3 accounts for 36% of the gross,which shows that the grade of bauxite ore is higher in this district. The grade 0-8% of SiO2 accounts for 50% of the total, which shows that the quantity o f SiO2 which is contained in bauxite ore overall is lower in this district. The grade 0-6% of Fe2O3 accounts for 53% of the t-otal, which shows that the this district o verall is dominated by iron ore.The grade 1-3% of TiO2 accounts for 78.6% of the total Ores, which shows that the titanium in ore has no big change. The content of sulfur exceeding 0.8% accounts for 36% of the total sample,0.8% is low sulfur i n the ore mining area, the main type of ore.5. Alumina with silicon dioxide has a significant and salient negative correlation; a significantly negative correlation with Fe2O3;a significant positive correlation with TiO2;a significant negative correlation with sulfur,not obvious correlation with gallium and lithium. Ga was extremely scattered in existence in bauxite ores.In the production process,we should pay attention to recycle the Ga.6. By exploring the genesis, establishment of a metallogenic model for the study area, and prospecting for future exploration of practical significance.
