With the development of high power pulse technique, high intensity beam has been widely used in the scientific research activities. As the beam quality requirements increase, space charge effects must be considered. The space charge effect and the restrictions on the transport current is the fundamental problem of high intensity beam. The instability caused by beam transport in plasma is also a research focus.This paper has developed software HUSTPIC used to calculate the beam's space charge effect based on the PIC method. With HUSTPIC, we have observed the changing pictures of the beam parameters caused by the space charge force. And the simulation of two stream instability effectively shows the nonlinear process generated in plasma transport. Finally, we obtained one-dimensional space charge limited flow with numerical method.In the simulation and applications, we find that this software can get the intuitive picture of the beam, show the change of the beam parameters. The data generated in the transform are stored in sequence for further study and analysis. All the simulations proved that this software has a good applicability.
