There are not lots of methods to compute the conoscopic polarizer interference of biaxial medium. This article uses another method with Berreman 4×4 matrix to research biaxial medium .There is an important supposition that incident light is in the x-z plane when we use Berreman4×4 matrix to compute,so we can simplify mexwell equation into Berreman 4×4 matrix .We use the Berreman 4×4matrix to compute the light path difference, then obtain the expression of the luminous intensity. At last , I numerically calculate the expression of luminous intensity using Fortran language , then draw and obtain the conoscopic polarizer interference image of biaxial crystal using origin 8.0 software. We know that the Berreman 4×4 matrix can cause the computed result to be more precise and can avoid the approximate value in computation by the comparison the theoretical interference images with the experimental interference images. The interference images of computer simulation are convenient for us to study each optical parameters of biaxial medium, and to avoid the complex experiments, and also it can reduce the requirement of equipments and the funds of investment. |
