Jumper is a main component of subsea production system, whose two terminal are easily subject to primary displacement loading caused by variable underwater topography, thus will have negative effect on structural safety of subsea production system. This paper takes the jumper with circumferential crack as research object , builds its corresponding FEM models, and analyzes the effect of different displacement loading and cracks by using incremental finite element method, concludes the change law of ultimate bearing capacity and characteristics of failure modes of the jumper with circumferential crack . The main research work is depicted as the follows:1)Based on the structure characteristics of rigid jumper, established the model and principles to assess its ultimate bearing capacity by using incremental finite element method.2) Compared the ultimate bearing capacity of different end displacement types, and screened out the most critical type.3) Further considered about the influence of cracks on the basis of this critical displacement type, and concluded the corresponding failure mode to different crack types by using the theory of ultimate strength.4) According to the scale and location of circumferential crack in inner surface, concluded the change law of the ultimate bearing capacity of jumper with different circumferential crack arguments.
