With the rapid development of information technology, some big-scale complex dynamic systems, such as communication system, traffic control system, can't be described by state equations and no longer belong to the research field of continuous variable dynamic system. One of the most import characters of these systems is their state is driven by descrete event, due to this, researchers defined the discrete event system (DES). Through the research of this thesis, the event-based research method becomes a new method in the control of complex system, and the supervisory control of DES and event-based control method have been applied in some scientific area successfully. The most study of DES is supervisory control and performance analysis, but the control model and modeling method havn't been studied well.Due to the attention to the environment and energe problems, developing smart grid has been adopted as the answer world-widely. Compare to the traditional power gird, smart grid requires for some key charater in contrl method which includes in-time response to event, adaptive control. Reasearchs proved that power gird can be described as a DES, so focus on the control requires of smart grid, this thesis propose a control model based on hierarchical finite state machine and corresponding restrains, also give a event based modeling method which introduce the event type as the expanding dimensionality. This modeling method define the model expanding route on the basis of the frequency and importance of the event, by the means of inheritance of the upper level system state, finally get the demanded control model. This model and modeling method can make the most important and most frequent event get processed as soon as possible, and reduce the state explosion. Meanwhile, in consideration of the practicability, we propose to deploy the model decentralized by the means of event-based control, and research the design problems of sensor, controller and executor in the event-based control system.At last, we discussed the design and implementation of simulation platform. Finnally we take the street lamp monitor and control system as an example show the modeling process, and get the event response time as simulation result. The result verifys that our model and modeling method can garentee real-time of the response of most important and most frequent event.
