Shengjin Lake is one of the 40 international protection of significant nature reserves,as the habitat of the Hooded Crane and other wetland bird and the only wetland protected area of Anhui province,the need for further measures to protect and study strengthened in Shengjin Lake.Phytoplankton on the contribution of aquatic ecosystems is obvious to all. Therefore,study the phytoplankton community structure of Shengjin Lake,to evaluate the water quality and the nutritional status by phytoplankton distribution and diversity index,put forward many feasible constructive proposals to he rational use of natural resources and with a rising construction and protection of shengjin Lake Nature Reserve,made a basic contribution of plankton in the water provides a theoretical basis for the research data.According to the phytoplankton data from the eight investigations during December 2008 to September 2010 in Shengjin Lake.The results showed that a total of 260 phytoplankton species belonging to 9 phylum 102 genera were found in Shengjin Lake,of which 115 species were Chlorophyta,66 species were Bacillariophyta,33 species were Cyanophyta,30 species were Euglenophyta,4 species were Cryptophyta,4 species were Dinophyta,3 species were Xanthophyta,4 species were Chrysophyta,l species were Rhodophyta.The dominant phytoplankton communities were Chlorophyta,44.2% of total species.Followed by Bacillariophyta and Cyanophyta,accounting for 25.4% and 12.7%,Euglenophyta were 11.5%.The species of Chlorophyta, Cyanophyta,Bacillariophyta,Euglenophyta were more than the species of Chrysophyta,Dinophyta,Xanthophyta,Rhodophyta,Cryptophyta.The changes of Chlorophyta,Cyanophyta,Bacillariophyta,Euglenophyta species determine the number of phytoplankton species in Shengjin Lake.The highest value of density of phytoplankton was 48992000ind/L which appeared in September 2010 in section 3;the lowest value was 165500ind/L which appeared in February 2010 in section 3.The average density of phytoplankton number order of the sections was section 3>section10>section 5>section 4>section 7>section 6> section 9>section 8>section 1>section 2.The biological diversity of phytoplankton was analyzed,the results show that the highest values of phytoplankton abundance occurred in February 2010 in the section 2, to 4.18,the lowest value appears in the April 2009 section 7,is only 0.52;phytoplankton Shannon-Weaver diversity index of the peak in December 2009 in section l,to 4.31,the lowest value appears in the April 2009 section l,is only 1.10;phytoplankton Pielou index of the peak in February 2010 in the section 6,to 0.86, lowest in September 2010 Section 10,0.35; phytoplankton diversity threshold Dv peak in September 2010 in the section 3,to 5.68;lowest in April 2009 section7,only 2.90;Menhinick diversity index of phytoplankton peak in February 2010 in the section 5,to 0.798;lowest in September 2010 Section 3,is only 0.0078.The diversity index of each section of the general rules were:winter (December) low;next spring (February), diversity index increased; into the summer (April),increasing diversity. Diversity index of all sections are consistent trend over time.
