To Promote Investment And Trade Relations And Cooperation In China And Comesa

The purpose of my thesis is to bring my modest contribution, as a Rwandan student in Shandong University who has been doing research for three years in investment and trade partnership between CHINA and COMESA.COMESA considers that it is timely to boost up economic cooperation through the development of trade and investment.Working with China to reach that goal is considered by COMESA as a great idea because it offers to both COMESA and CHINA lots of potentials. Chinese companies and entrepreneurs involved in general trading, agriculture, mining, energy, transport, public works and telecommunication sectors are welcomed in every country of Africa. They participate in the development of the national economies.My modest contribution is to open a way of promoting the theoretical and the practical thinking of how COMESA and CHINA should improve their trade and investment partnership in order to reach a sustainable economic cooperation, taking into account the current situation of the investment and trade partnership between CHINA and COMESA.The introduction presents briefly the topic of my thesis and a brief explanation of why I chose this topic.In part I, the paper give an overview of COMESA (COMESA's history, objectives, vision and economy) and an overview of CHINA'S economy.Then it talks about the background of CHINA-COMESA trade investment cooperation and its current situation.This part lets us see what CHINA and COMESA, while working together, have achieved so far but the data that this part gives us are not so satisfying. Part II explains the reason why the achievement of the goals has encountered difficulties by discussing widely the main obstacles to the development of CHINA-COMESA trade and investment.
