State - to-state economic competition, in fact, has become a national competition among big businesses. As the country's mainstay and the lifeline of the national economy, big business has drawn increasing national attention. In the eleventh five-year plan period, China also made big business development objectives. Thus, in-depth study of the development of big business in the papers will be used for reference in achieving our big business development strategies.In the development of them, the development model of each country's big business is different due to historical background and the different conditions of development. Britain and America's enterprise is the free development model. As latecomer countries, Japan and South Korea's governments have played very important role in its large enterprise development in order to cope with international competition. In general, they become large enterprise mainly by high efficiency. But our enterprises participate in international and domestic competition through country investment and merger of enterprises. Some scholars hold opposing views to this. This paper thinks it reasonable through a three-part analysis of the efficiency from production, trade and distribution in the increasingly competitive today. Because our government firstly improves enterprises productivity and efficiency of transactions through government investment and consolidation of big business, then increases efficiency in the allocation through privatization, which will encourage operators to strengthen enterprise management, and finally bring their overall efficiency increased step by step. Comparison with other developing countries has also demonstrated the correctness of development of our big business.Firstly, this paper proves the necessity of our development of big business from the micro aspects of the competitive advantages of big business and the role of macro-economic pillars in the international competition.
