Water resource is the important substantial groundwork and a control element of environment, at the same time it is a strategical economic resource. The connection between water resource system and national economy system is interactional and interdependend. The globe is threatened by worsening worldwide water crisis and the basal and sustained effect of water resource to national economy is more and more obvious, so that the quantitative analysis of the basal and sustained effect is attended universally by the world of economics and the world of water resources.This dissertation is accomplished at the same time with the project "The research of water resources contribution to Yellow River national economy", the aim is to lucubrate the quantitative analytic method of the water resources contribution to national economy, trying to offer decision-making foundation for water resources allocation and water resources policy constitution. So the thesis falls into 4 parts:1. The thesis analyzes the meaning of water resource sparsity and summarizes the basic economic attribute of water resources across-the-board, and expatiate the theoretic root of the water resources contribution to national economy.2. The thesis probes into water resources price, its inbeing and the principle and strategy of the water price confirming, On ground of analyzing the theoretic source of water economic value.3. The thesis probes into the macro-estimating method for the economic effect of water resources utility. On one side, using input-output method, analyzes water usage benefit and efficiency of every department of national economy, and compare them, trying to find the developing direction of local region.
